Amethyst

Description

Pale violet to deep purple variety of quartz. The colour is due to trace amounts of iron. Small dogtooth points, and large amethyst chevron pieces available, in addition to large crystal points cut to a flat base, so as to be display pieces (A Grade).

Physical Benefits:

Called the all-healer of people, animals and plants; this is believed to benefit migraines and headaches if you rub the forehead anti-clockwise, having dipped the amethyst in running water (recommended that only tumbles, smooth stones used for this). It brings comfort and relief to the psychologically ill. It is good for treating impurities in the blood and venereal diseases. It is a great aid for headaches, migraines and insomnia.

Emotional Healing:

Amethystos meant not to be intoxicated in Ancient Greek, and amethyst reduces addiction, obsessive compulsive disorder; hyperactivity in children and animals; called nature’s tranquilizer. It balances and stabilizes problems of sexual polarity.
