Green Jade

Description

Jade is Jadeite and Nephrite’s family name. The word Jade refers to a fine-grained, mineral aggregate composed of one or both the Jadeite and Nephrite minerals. All Jade stones are made up of highly intergrown and interlocking crystals of one or both of these minerals. Jadeite is a silicate of aluminum and sodium of the pyroxene group. It has a wide range of colors, from emerald green to all kinds of green shades.  We generally stock pale green jadeite, but at times we have other options available such as the nephrite jade (pictured).
